Tech leaders Elon Musk and Sundar Pichai have reacted to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah’s witty response during a press conference, where he humorously addressed a journalist’s question. During the conference, the journalist questioned his batting skills during India’s ongoing Test series against Australia at Gabba. When asked about the Indian team’s batting performance under tough conditions, Bumrah’s witty reply quickly gained attention on social media.

Bumrah, known for holding the record for most runs in a single over in Test cricket, responded humorously: “Interesting question. But since you’re questioning my batting, maybe you should Google who scored the most runs in a Test over. But, jokes aside, that’s a different story.”
Bumrah's witty remark caught the attention of Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and a cricket fan, who expressed his admiration for the cricketer on X, formerly Twitter. “I did Google it. Elon Musk, the owner of X, joined the conversation with a brief yet appreciative reply to Sundar Pichai’s post. Pichai responded by suggesting they watch a cricket match together someday, writing, “Gotta watch a SA-IND game one day at Newlands or Wanderers.”
Google India also joined in with a playful tweet referencing Bumrah’s batting performance: “I only believe in Jassi Bhai.” In another post, Google India shared a screenshot of Google Search that revealed that Jasprit Bumrah is the “most successful Indian bowler on Australian soil.
