Overview

Kanye's February 2025 Crashout, also known as February 2025 Ye Tweets, refers to a viral Twitter / X posting spree by controversial rapper Kanye West (also known as Ye), from February 6th to February 9th, 2025, when the rapper made a number of inflammatory posts, including "FREE PUFF," "FUCK VIRGIL," "I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT BITCHES" and "IM A NAZI." Kanye then seemingly concluded his tweeting spree by calling it a "social experiment" and later deleted the post and his account. Several internet users reacted to the posts by questioning Kanye's mental stability, speculating about whether the posts were a way to promote his clothing brand or an upcoming crypto coin, or if any artists and influencers would ever collaborate with Ye in the future. On February 9th, Kanye deactivated his X account, thanking Elon for letting him "vent." Ye then made an ad slot appearance during the 2025 Super Bowl, directing his audience to the YEEZY site, which at the time only hosted a tilted swastika t-shirt.

Background

From February 6th, 2025, through the following two days, rapper Kanye West, now called "Ye," made a series of inflammatory posts on Twitter / X. The posts ranged from him defending fellow rapper P Diddy to him calling himself a Nazi. A number of Kanye's more controversial and notable tweets are shown below.

Kanye also launched a collaboration with Diddy's clothing brand "Sean John," saying that he plans to split the profits with the jailed musician. Redditor /u/TheMirrorUS posted about the collaboration and about how Kanye called Diddy his "Hero" to the subreddit /r/Music on February 7th, gathering over 17,000 upvotes in a day.

On February 8th, Kanye posted and then deleted a tweet calling his posts a "social experiment," later writing, "I DONT LIKE THAT I SAID SOCIAL EXPERIMENT I TWEETING EVERYTHING I FELT AND IM NOT FIXING NOTHING FUCK EVERYONE."

Developments

Kanye continued to make inflammatory posts up until the 2025 Super Bowl, where he booked an advertisement slot reportedly for $7 million. Kanye's advertisement showed him recording himself in portrait mode from his dentist's chair. Kanye says that he spent all his money on booking the slot, leaving him with no real ad budget, and tells his audience to buy his latest YEEZY clothing drop.

On February 9th, 2025, X user @kirawontmiss quoted a video of the commercial, comparing Kanye to the Joker, writing, "this is like when the Joker is broadcasting a message to the citizens of gotham city." The post gathered over 200,000 likes in two days.

Several internet users noted that the only shirt available for purchase on the YEEZY store after the commercial was a plain white tee with a Nazi-tilted swastika on it. X user @saltydkdan posted about catalogue, gathering over 10,000 likes in a day.

Also on February 9th, Kanye posted a final tweet before seemingly deactivating his own Twitter / X account, writing, "I'm logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for letting me vent."

On February 7th, 2025, several Kanye fans reacted strongly to him cursing out late fashion designer Virgil Abloh, as seen in a tweet by @CurtisBashar that gathered over 78,000 likes in a day. Also on February 7th, X user @ItsNotAdamAtAll tweeted, "Kanye said he’s a Nazi shoutout to Hitler but soon as he said fuck Virgil his stans said WAAAAAIT im crying laughing."
