Drudge isn't much of a news source anymore. The Site used to cycle through 40-50 news links a day, and now its updated a couple times a day. At it's peak, Drudge was within the top 5 most visited sites on the internet (it now sits at #128 in the US). The Site was obviously a threat to the establishment, democrats, legacy media of their narratives. Its unknown how much he was bought out for but speculation is somewhere in the 10 figures for the site. It is also NOT a US based news site anymore.

Matt Drudge, and with its employees were terminated sometime around September 2019 and nobody has heard of anything since (with the NDA).
The site was used during the 2020 election, in almost a covert ops sense, manipulating Republicans to turn into Democrat voters, but post-election resources aren't even being put behind it anymore and its fallen way down the tubes in terms of views.
The question is who owns and runs it now? Its speculated a billionaire owns it (George Soros?)
