Dogs LUVVVVVVVVVVVVVV liver! - it's like a basic instinct of carnivores, as it's dense in nutrients. I used to make fried liver for my German Shepherd when I'd make a special meal for myself and the girlfriend...
I agree that plain, straight-up liver is bad. But if it's flavored - like in a good liverwurst (the poor man's pate', from Germany)... or better yet, a French pate', in my opinion it can improve the palatability greatly.
