Any ID card with a term of less than four years and Seasonal Resident IDs do not qualify for online renewal.

Make an appointment at a DMV office and be sure to bring any additional documentation required for a Real ID or other reasons such as immigration status, medical letter, etc.
Commercial drivers must renew at a CDL Office.
You may have to take the knowledge test if you hold an instruction permit that has been expired more than 30 days.
A knowledge test is required if you have had three or more moving violations or any license suspension, revocation, cancellation or denial within the last four years. You may also be required to pass a driving skills test.
Naturalized Citizens and Permanent ResidentsPlease bring your Certificate or Permanent Resident Card to help avoid a return trip to the DMV.
Limited-Term ResidentsYou must present a U.S. immigration document at each renewal or any change to personal information such as name and date of birth.

You are eligible to renew by mail if:
You are over 65 years of age.
You have not renewed by mail previously in the last four years.
You have not had more than three moving violations in the last four years.
You are not eligible to renew by mail if:
You have an instruction permit.
You have a commercial license (CDL).
You have a Driver Authorization Card (DAC).
You have a license with a term of less than four years: non-U.S. citizens, sex offenders, and those with certain medical conditions.
You are a U.S. citizen, born outside the U.S. and we do not have your citizenship on file.
If you are eligible to renew by mail, you will receive an application in the mail approximately 60 days prior to your expiration. If you are over 71 years of age, a physical evaluation will also need to be provided and is required to be filled out by your doctor.
If you renewed by mail four years ago, you will receive a postcard. You will be required to renew in person at a DMV office.
If you did not receive a renewal in the mail, you are able to see in your MyDMV account whether you should have received an application or postcard. You can print the application from your account and send it in. If your account shows a postcard was sent, you are required to renew in person at a DMV office.

If you are outside of Nevada and cannot reach a Nevada DMV office, you may download and complete an Application for Driving Privilege or ID Card By Mail (DMV 204) (available in Spanish and Tagalog) and a Payment Authorization Form (ADM 205) to authorize fee payment by credit or debit card.
