欧博allbetJosephine Marie Picchi Obituary

Josephine Picchi, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on June 7th at the age of 95. Born in Madera, California, shortly thereafter, her parents moved to Holt, where her journey in life began. It was here that she met Frediano Picchi at a dance at the Farm Bureau Hall, Roberts Island.

They were married when Josephine was just 18 years old. They were married at the old St Mary’s church, downtown Stockton. The reception was then held where they first met. Fred and Josie loved to dance.

The couple settled in Stockton, California, where they built a loving home filled with warmth and joy. Josephine dedicated her life to being a devoted housewife, taking great pride in cooking and organizing family celebrations that brought everyone together. Her culinary talents were unmatched, and her meals were always prepared with love.

In her free time, Josephine enjoyed playing golf, gardening, dancing, and engaging in lively conversations with friends, fostering connections that enriched her life. She was a loving mother to her two children, Paula Picchi-Zeiter (John McCraw) and Paul Picchi (Pam), and a doting grandmother to her granddaughter, Angela (Michael Rogan), who adored her deeply.

Josephine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frediano, and her parents Olivo and Rosa Polloni. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her unwavering dedication to her family, and the countless memories she created throughout her life. Josephine Picchi’s legacy of love, family, and friendship will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed, but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice House of San Joaquin County in her honor.

A celebration of life will be held on August 15, 2025, 11 a.m. at Italian Athletic Club.
